Introduction

The ZXG Series Central Drive Sludge Scraper is a suspended-type system specifically designed for sludge collection and removal in circular primary and secondary sedimentation tanks. Unlike peripheral drive models, the entire load of the ZXG system is supported by the Working Bridge, making it an ideal solution for tanks where a central underwater pivot is not desired.

Working Principle

The drive unit is mounted at the center of the working bridge. It rotates the vertical shaft and the attached scraper arms. As the arms rotate, the specially angled Scraper Blades sweep the settled sludge from the tank bottom toward the central sludge pit for discharge. The Influent enters through the central Influent Well to ensure steady flow distribution.

Application

●Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plants (STP/WWTP)

●Industrial Process Water Treatment

●Potable Water Treatment Plants

●Circular Primary & Secondary Clarifiers

●Chemical & Petrochemical Effluent Treatment

Technical Features

●Suspended Design: All mechanical parts are supported by the bridge. There are no underwater bearings, which significantly reduces wear and simplifies maintenance.

●High Efficiency Scum Removal: Equipped with an integrated Scum Skimmer System to ensure the effluent surface remains clear of floating debris.

●Stable Flow Distribution: The optimized Influent Well dissipates energy and ensures an even flow, improving sedimentation efficiency.

●Overload Protection: Features an optional mechanical or electronic torque limiter to protect the drive motor and gearbox from damage.

●Corrosion Resistance: Submerged components are typically fabricated from SS304 or SS316L, ensuring a long service life in harsh wastewater environments.

Structure

Our sludge scraper consists of the following main components:

●Working Bridge: A heavy-duty steel beam spanning the tank, providing a stable platform and walkway.

●Central Drive Unit: A high-torque motor and gearbox that powers the entire scraping system.

●Scraper Arms & Blades: Angled blades at the bottom that continuously sweep sludge toward the center pit.

●Influent Well: A central cylinder that stabilizes incoming water flow for better sedimentation.

●Scum Skimmer: A surface mechanism to collect and remove floating debris and foam.

●Safety Protection: Built-in mechanical or electronic overload protection to prevent equipment damage.
